€1.5m fund for not-for-profits working in communities

A €1.5 million fund to foster inclusive, resilient communities and strengthen social cohesion across Ireland has been announced.

The fund, run by Rethink Ireland, in partnership with law firm Mason Hayes & Curran and the Department of Rural and Community Development, will provide cash grants and business support to not-for-profits working in communities nationwide.

The three-year fund is open to organisations committed to bringing people together, promote belonging, and empower marginalised communities to shape solutions that work for them.

Up to five organisations will receive cash grants, access to Rethink Ireland’s Accelerator Programme for scaling social innovations and a tailored package of business and capacity-building supports.

Eligible organisations across Ireland can apply through the Rethink Ireland website.

The closing date for applications is 1pm on Friday 4 April.
